Qi Gong Workshop: Fall Into Autumn with Alexandra

Put healing in good hands – your own…Qigong moving meditation – the ancient Chinese art of self-healing.

Qi translates as ‘life energy’, gong as exercise.

Qigong is the cultivation of life energy through intention, breath and movement, bringing alignment, awareness and transformation. Stretch and relax, breathe and connect, feel invigorated and happy. Find joy in your heart. Discover your own unique personal and connection to the exquisite beauty of all of life.

Ideal for those recovering from illness, surgery or managing long-term health conditions: physical, mental or emotional by clearing energetic blockages and removing stagnation from the body and energy bodies: combat stress, aches, pains, depression and tension, whilst strengthening the body and promoting inner stillness.

Alexandra offers a 2 hour seasonal Qigong workshop to honour and celebrate Autumn Equinox. As the Wheel of the year turns, balance of day and night returns, before the darkness overtakes the light. As Autumn begins, we give gratitude to the Earth, in her full abundance as Mother and Giver, for the great harvest of nourishment. Fruit, nuts, berries and seeds have ripened under the summer sun’s growing power. We are invited to acknowledge the fruits of our personal harvest of labour throughout our year, giving gratitude to ourselves and the help we receive to birth our achievements.

Autumn brings with it this shift in nature: trees and plants are dropping their energy into their roots.
We will work with the Metal element of autumn, opening Lung and Large Intestine channels. Like leaves dropping onto the Earth to make compost, we will state clear intentions to clearing out what is no longer serving us, providing best conditions for our future growth.
We acknowledge the Earth’s fire energy withdrawing into the dark inner realms providing us with strength, courage and wisdom from within while the days increasingly shorten.

Alexandra and the group will be creating an altar for a simple ceremony. If it feels right to you, bring an object, fruit, a flower, or anything to represent your gratitude, your achievement, your intention of what you are letting go of to move forward, and of what you are seeding for the future.

Alexandra opens this space for you to listen deeply to your body of wisdom. She draws upon her 17 year experience as a Craniosacral and Shiatsu Therapist, including bodywork in her workshop.

You may wish to round off your Qigong experience after the workshop by receiving a taster session of Alexandra’s bodywork at Wild Wolf’s Yoga. Treatments available until 4 pm.
