Have you ever disappeared into an activity for hours and thought that only ten minutes had passed? Do you return to certain activities over an again even though they have no specific purpose? The chances are that you are slipping in to something that scientists call Flow State. Those surfers on 50ft waves, cliff divers, breakdancers and parkour runners, musicians, artists and great philosophers – all flow state fans! In this session together we will explore flow state theory, how you can actually tap into it by ticking a few key boxes and how the more that you access it the easier it is to transfer flow into almost any activity that you undertake simply by shifting your perspective slightly. Flow allows us to access similar states to deep meditation and it has even been called a brief glimpse of enlightenment. Dan will be talking about his experience with flow state, recommending some simple ways to start accessing with it and answering any questions that you might have. All proceeds go to the Runnymede Trust, Britains leading racial equality think tank.
